Hi, planning to go on trip but don’t
really have money? Never mind I have some suggestion for you guys. Recently I
just came back from Melaka. It basically a very short trip and very budget trip
consist of two day and one night.
Identify a group of people that have same objective (A trip based on Budget)
Ok so here a first tips on how to
plan your budget trip. First you need to identify a group of member that is “sekepala”
with you. Meaning that everyone is aware the main point of the trip will be
budget but fun, after all one of the reason people going to trip is to spend
time with our love one right? For this trip I estimate budget around RM 250
including accommodation, transportation and all. Lucky for this trip everyone
is agree that it should be a budget but fun trip, because they also broke for
the trip because “not gaji” yet. Haha. So
let me introduce to you my member for this trip.

We call our group as #FFGMS which
is the acronym for our nickname.
Choose a cheap transportation
Of course we need transportation
to go the place that we going to visit right? Because we are under tight
budget, we choose to travel by bus. It only cost us RM 11 for one person from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan to Melaka
Sentral (one way ticket), not forget to mention the bus is quite comfortable
since we are getting a bus that have two and one row of seat. Usually when you
want to travel far it is best to make sure the seat is comfortable. But for this
Melaka Trip we don’t really care about the seat because it only 2 hours
journey. I almost forget to share tips on how to “jimat” a little bit on the
bus cost. We booked the bus ticket through the application call redBus, you can just simply download this
application from google Play Store. So each time you share your reference code
to the friend that going to sign up for the apps you can get RM 10 and the
person that use your code will get RM20.
Easy isn’t it? The money will be credit to your Ewallet redBus application a
smart ways to reduce the bus fees.

Once
arrived at Melaka Sentral we meets with Farhan that is coming from Johor |
Finally #FFGMS reunited after a
months.
A budget hotel
Since the trip is call budget
trip, of course we choose a cheap place to stay. A budget hotel should be fine
as long you will have a place to sleep. After all remember for a trip it is
better to spend less time at the hotel, because one of the trip objective is to go
sightseeing around the place right? Tips on choosing a budget hotel, make sure
the place is clean and comfortable for you to sleep. So how to ensure the place
is clean? For those people who are booking the hotel from website like Agoda, Booking.com
and etc you can just review comment from other guest about they stay on the
hotel. For this trip we choose Al-Nur Hotel that is clean but with no
decoration. Basically it only a place good to sleep, the toilet is inside the
room, with tv and wifi also towel is provided except it don’t provide a toiletries
item (only cream bath is provide). This hotel is located at the shop lot. The location of the Hotel is near the city,
very near from Mall which is in walking distance (it helps to reduce the cost
of transportation).

Farhan is sleeping in two single
bed. He was lucky that one of our friend (Wan Jebat) who are staying at Melaka spend
a night with him, otherwise he has to sleep alone. Haha.
Places to visit
We go to mall that near to our
Hotel, and places around it. We can go to A’Famosa and Jonker Walk by walking
distance. Yeay, finally I’m manage to visit A’Famosa, I’m excited because
Melaka has been declared as one of the heritage site by UNESCO. Like what
people always said “Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah” so please don’t #DontMessWithMelaka.
So what you can see and visit at Bandar Hilir Melaka? At Bandar Hilir you can spot ancient monument from Portuguese era. But quite sad that I didn’t manage
to climb the Alfonso de Albuquerque fortress. We also going to museum around
Melaka, it quite convenience because the ticket entrance is cheap like about
RM3-5 depend on the museum that you visit. Guess what? My friends don’t really
enjoy the visit to museum as they said only me that look so excited to visit
the Museums. Haha.

This stamp has manage to capture my attention. It is the stamp of Malayan Union that is not unissued because during that time people in Tanah Melayu really oppress the concept Malayan Union. |
