Melaka Budget Trip

Hi, planning to go on trip but don’t really have money? Never mind I have some suggestion for you guys. Recently I just came back from Melaka. It basically a very short trip and very budget trip consist of two day and one night.

Identify a group of people that have same objective (A trip based on Budget)

Ok so here a first tips on how to plan your budget trip. First you need to identify a group of member that is “sekepala” with you. Meaning that everyone is aware the main point of the trip will be budget but fun, after all one of the reason people going to trip is to spend time with our love one right? For this trip I estimate budget around RM 250 including accommodation, transportation and all. Lucky for this trip everyone is agree that it should be a budget but fun trip, because they also broke for the trip because “not gaji” yet. Haha.  So let me introduce to you my member for this trip.

Faza

Farhan

Geogy

Me (Min)
Sheila
We call our group as #FFGMS which is the acronym for our nickname.

Choose a cheap transportation

Of course we need transportation to go the place that we going to visit right? Because we are under tight budget, we choose to travel by bus. It only cost us RM 11 for one person from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan to Melaka Sentral (one way ticket), not forget to mention the bus is quite comfortable since we are getting a bus that have two and one row of seat. Usually when you want to travel far it is best to make sure the seat is comfortable. But for this Melaka Trip we don’t really care about the seat because it only 2 hours journey. I almost forget to share tips on how to “jimat” a little bit on the bus cost. We booked the bus ticket through the application call redBus, you can just simply download this application from google Play Store. So each time you share your reference code to the friend that going to sign up for the apps you can get RM 10 and the person that use  your code will get RM20. Easy isn’t it? The money will be credit to your Ewallet redBus application a smart ways to reduce the bus fees.

We waiting for the Bus at TBS

Once arrived at Melaka Sentral we meets with Farhan that is coming from Johor
Finally #FFGMS reunited after a months.

A budget hotel

Since the trip is call budget trip, of course we choose a cheap place to stay. A budget hotel should be fine as long you will have a place to sleep. After all remember for a trip it is better to spend less time at the hotel, because one of the trip objective is to go sightseeing around the place right? Tips on choosing a budget hotel, make sure the place is clean and comfortable for you to sleep. So how to ensure the place is clean? For those people who are booking the hotel from website like Agoda, Booking.com and etc you can just review comment from other guest about they stay on the hotel. For this trip we choose Al-Nur Hotel that is clean but with no decoration. Basically it only a place good to sleep, the toilet is inside the room, with tv and wifi also towel is provided except it don’t provide a toiletries item (only cream bath is provide). This hotel is located at the shop lot. The location of the Hotel is near the city, very near from Mall which is in walking distance (it helps to reduce the cost of transportation).

Our Room
Farhan is sleeping in two single bed. He was lucky that one of our friend (Wan Jebat) who are staying at Melaka spend a night with him, otherwise he has to sleep alone. Haha.

Places to visit

We go to mall that near to our Hotel, and places around it. We can go to A’Famosa and Jonker Walk by walking distance. Yeay, finally I’m manage to visit A’Famosa, I’m excited because Melaka has been declared as one of the heritage site by UNESCO. Like what people always said “Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah” so please don’t #DontMessWithMelaka. So what you can see and visit at Bandar Hilir Melaka? At Bandar Hilir you can spot ancient monument from Portuguese era. But quite sad that I didn’t manage to climb the Alfonso de Albuquerque fortress. We also going to museum around Melaka, it quite convenience because the ticket entrance is cheap like about RM3-5 depend on the museum that you visit. Guess what? My friends don’t really enjoy the visit to museum as they said only me that look so excited to visit the Museums. Haha.

Let explore Melaka

Is Faza becoming our tour guide? Haha
Thanks to Farhan our Mr. Photographer for this picture

This stamp has manage to capture my attention. It is the stamp of Malayan Union that is not unissued because during that time people in Tanah Melayu really oppress the concept Malayan Union.

We also went to Melaka Independant Museum

#FFGMS at Upside Down House Melaka

Maybe We should pose like Geogy so that we look like sitting at the wall
The entrance fees for Melaka Upside Down House is quite expensive. RM 18 for one person if I'm not mistaken. It only one level of building so it really not worth it to really spend you money and go to this location. I would rate it as 2/10 perhaps? my evaluation is based on all aspect, the facilities of the building, staff and also value for money. Since it is not really worth it we only spend our time less than hour inside this building, maybe around 25 Minutes.

We also went to Submarine museum located at Dataran Klebang

This is one of the view inside the museum where the "navy" is operating the submarine

If I'm not mistaken this guys is monitoring the view of outside through coordination location something

Since faza is the one who super excited to spend time at this Museum I purposely upload this picture to share with you guys how happy she was. HAHA.

My favorite group of people
Let's wrap it with a wefie of #FFGMS

Choose a short trip

The last tips that I can share with you guys is to choose a short trip like what we did; it can be two days one night or three days two nights. Because the longer the trip will be the more money you have to spend. So people plan you trip well. Good Luck and enjoy Melaka. Till we meet again, Selamat Tinggal !

Wait a seconds, before I end my entry this time, I will share with you guys a menu of food that I manage to enjoy at Melaka.

A Lunch set of Asam Pedas

Aiskrim Kelapa

Apple + Guava tea sold only at Jonker Walk Street

My favourite Cendol Pulut + Durian

Lunch Menu Ayam Kampung Goreng

Dinner before we go back to KL. Spaghetti at #JomCoffee Cafe

To sum up everything and prove you guys that I manage to spend less than RM 250, I included my total expenses I spend at Melaka. Guess what, total amount that I spend is less than RM 200. Hurmmm ... so some advice for you guys plan your budget carefully think before you spend. Till we meet again in next entry, Bye-bye for now ðŸ¤— .

Maknanya da setahun lebih or dua tahun la min tinggalkan blog nie “bersarang” dan “terbiar”. Teruk betul kan min ni? Haha. Da lama tak update blog tapi ada hati nak jadi penulis mimpi jela min.

Ok, sebenarnya nak share cite ngan korang tentang update terbaru min… sekarang min tengah sibuk dengan shooting video untuk subjek “Videography”. Sedar tak sedar da third last semester da sebelum min habis degree ni. Sebenarnya update blog ni bukan nak cite pasal progress assignment min tapi nak cite pasal satu kejadian. Kejadian ape tu? Huh, jeng..jeng..jeng…

Sebab setengah nak pergi beli baju kerana da basah danber bau kuda berikutan shooting video kat Gombak tu.  Min dengan kawan min lagi sorang pergi sembahyang asar dulu.

Sekarang bukan perkara yang pelik bila kita tengok orang pos gambar dorang makan apa kat akaun social media diorang, maybe it’s have become a trend.
